Perth Airport is urging passengers to consider arriving early for check-in and arrival as it is bracing for an onslaught of more than 2 million passengers in this six week period.
A rigid slot system is in place meaning passengers are being asked to “leave plenty of time for security and check-in processes”. Passengers who expect to be late should alert ground staff to delay their flight.
The December and January months are the most busiest at Perth Airport with 2.17 million passengers using the airport last DEC/JAN period and also due to the fact that Perth Airport is Australia’s fastest growing capital city airport.
More than 165 planes are based here in Perth alone and increases about 10% a year. In the five years leading up to June 2012, passenger numbers have increase 40%
