Scoot’s brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, has touched down in Perth after its first revenue flight yesterday, just 3 days after arriving in Singapore from Seattle. It was a welcome sight by all, from plane spotters and aviation enthusiasts to the passengers.
The new dreamliner boasts massive improvements from the older Boeing 777-200ER’s which were previously used on the route. It offers a quieter and smoother ride, less jetlag, thanks to the cabin altitude being lowered by 2000 feet compared to the 777, and also comes with a spacious layout; 9 abreast compared to 10 abreast on the 777 in economy.
Scoot is always offering special deals, but for those that want to experience the Dreamliner, and see what all the fuss is about, get in quick with fares starting from $129 one way.
Along with the upgrade of equipment, comes the increase in flights. Scoot will fly daily to Perth from Singapore, increasing from the previous 5-weekly schedule. CEO Campbell Wilson has said that since the airline started the service just over a year ago, they have flown more than 150,000 passengers on the route, which highlights that nearly every flight is full. With the 787 having less seats, I am glad that they increased frequency to daily.
I aslo recently flew on Scoot, and would like to congratulate them on their service, and it is no wonder that they have had so many passengers. The fares are cheap, the food is reasonably good, but to boast, I have never experienced an economy class so good. I have had the most legroom in economy ever when I was onboard Scoot. The ability to stretch out without reclining the seat, and walking off the plane in such good condition was remarkable. I definetly recommend you to fly Scoot to Singapore, if you ever are interested in going.
