27 JUL 15
PERTH Airport continues to see growth in passenger numbers although slowing and below prior expectations.
22,624 more passengers travelled through Perth Airport’s four main terminals in the 12 months leading up to July. That accounts for an 0.17% increase from the previous year.
This does not take into account passengers who travelled through the general aviation terminals, which if added, may be slightly more.

The decrease in domestic passenger numbers can mainly be attributed to the slowing growth in the mining industry, thus the need for travel too, has decreased.
International passenger numbers have increased due to a number of events including Etihad Airways being the latest foreign airline to join Perth Airport and the continued benefits of budget, low-cost carriers, which make up nearly half of the international carriers to service the airport.

The above data shows the continued, though slowing growth of travellers through Perth Airport over the past five years.
