Etihad Airways has announced that the next Australian destination for its Boeing 787-9 aircraft is Perth, come June 1 next year.
CEO and President James Hogan said,
Since our first Dreamliner entered commercial service in February, we have enjoyed excellent feedback from our guests
The decision to offer (the) same industry-leading experience on the Perth route reflects the success of the Western Australian market and our enduring commitment to serve Australia with the pride of our fleet.
The aircraft replaces the current Airbus A330-200 on the daily route. Middle-Eastern rival, Emirates also launched a daily A380 superjumbo service in May this year.
