HONG Kong carrier, Cathay Pacific is set to bring the revolutionary Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Perth from late-October, replacing 7 weekly services currently operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Speaking with Australian Business Traveller, Cathay Pacific’s General Manager for the Southwest Pacific, Nelson Chin said;
We’ve been flying into Perth since 1970 and we’re thrilled to be introducing our newest aircraft on our direct services to and from Hong Kong.
The aircraft will operate on the CX171/170 rotation arriving in Perth at 10:50pm and departing at 11:55pm from October 29.
At time of print, this will be the first regularly scheduled Airbus A350 service to Perth from any airline, with Singapore Airlines having the honour in being the first scheduled A350 operator when it brings its aircraft for a one-off rotation in April.
